My Pricing
(aka why it makes sense to join my studio tuition plan instead of paying by the hour)
and yes, I know this is a ridiculous amount of words but PLEASE read it through otherwise I'll have to explain it later and we're both too tired for that ;)
I determine my hourly fee based on average 'classical' violin instruction in my local area. While I don't use a traditionally classical approach I use a science based one; Taking into account the development of the child's body, emotions, and mental wellbeing is my focus. While some of the modalities I occasionally use are also used in music therapy I am not a trained therapist and do not price myself as one.
I therefore charge $90 per hour.
If you want to start learning consistently please consider joining my studio tuition plan.
You paying a set monthly tuition for admitance into my studio makes it easier for you because
1) the $ per month stays the same
2) I build in 10 minutes of studio time gratis before your lesson begins
3) you have a set lesson schedule
4) group classes, activities and projects are included
5) you have 2 built in sick lessons per year (and if you don't use them you get bonus lessons!)
Therefore each lesson price will end up being much cheaper than if you paid my hourly fee.
I offer this because I strongly dislike having to do math. I don't like invoicing for many things here and there. And it's much easier for my personal studio finances to have the same amount coming in per month around the school year. I also really like people to feel like they got a good deal :)
( I've done my research... you are)
AGAIN, may I draw your attention to point 2:
It changes your 30 minute weekly lesson into a 40 minute lesson! This gives you either 10 minutes to settle in before your lesson, or to get here late (hey it happens to us all) and not worry about it cutting into your precious lesson time. This 10 minute cushion is only available to my consistent students on the tuition plan.
